Humboldt Bay is the only deep water port between San Francisco and Coos Bay, Oregon, making the Port of Eureka a major transportation link for the local forest industry.

The area offers a number of outdoor activities including watercraft rentals, bird watching and whale watching. Also be sure to visit the Humboldt Bay Maritime Museum for a unique look at North coast Maritime history.
